How the electricity price is made up
The electricity tariff consists of four elements: energy, grid usage, metering and charges.
The tariffs for the individual components are calculated annually for the coming calendar year. The composition varies slightly depending on the tariff type. The energy tariff covers the electricity supply. Grid usage, metering tariff and levies relate to operation, metering and statutory or municipal requirements.

What does this mean for my household?
The effective change depends on individual consumption and the selected electricity product.
For a sample household with annual consumption of 4,500 kWh and the standard product Energy Blue, the total electricity price will fall by around CHF 7.90 per month or around CHF 95 per year from 1 January 2027. Your personal change may differ from this.
