Feed-in remuneration for companies
Dynamically feed in solar power and take advantage of market prices
With the purchase remuneration, the remuneration for the electricity you feed in is based on the hourly spot market price. This can be particularly relevant for companies with larger PV systems, battery storage systems and energy management systems.

Dynamic remuneration model
More control options for larger systems
The feed-in remuneration reflects the value of the energy fed into the grid more accurately than a retrospectively calculated average value.
With the feed-in remuneration, electricity fed into the grid is remunerated per hour based on the day-ahead spot market price for the Swiss market area. For companies, this is particularly interesting if PV production, load profile, battery storage, charging infrastructure or an energy management system can be actively controlled. In hours with low or negative prices, it may make more sense to consume the electricity yourself, store it or selectively reduce feed-in.
Requirements and optimisation
When feed-in remuneration is right for businesses
The model is particularly relevant when feed-in, self-consumption and flexible loads can be actively controlled.

Technical requirementsHourly billing requires suitable metering and registration for the optional product. For larger systems, the connected load and feed-in control should also be checked.
Changeover process
How companies switch to feed-in remuneration
The change is made via the form and is possible for the upcoming quarter in each case.
Before signing up, a brief internal review is recommended: are metering, EMS, storage strategy and operational flexibilities ready to make effective use of the dynamic model?
Step 01Assess potential and flexibilityAnalyse PV output, load profile, self-consumption, battery storage, EMS and controllable consumers.Step 02Submit formApply for the voluntary switch to the feed-in remuneration via the form on the BKW website.Step 03Have requirements checkedBKW is checking whether hourly measurement with a smart meter or load profile meter is possible.Step 04Start quarterlyIf the requirements are met, the feed-in remuneration will begin at the confirmed start of the quarter.

Pricing
How the feed-in tariff is calculated
The basis is the hourly day-ahead spot market price for the Swiss market area.
The spot market price is published for each hour of the following day. In hours with a surplus of electricity, remuneration is usually lower; in hours with higher demand, it can rise. Companies can use EMS, battery storage systems and flexible consumers to respond more specifically to these price signals. Negative prices are rare but possible; in such cases, feed-in can lead to costs instead of a credit.
