The label identifies all electricity supplied by BKW Energie AG to its end customers in the reference year.

The electricity labelling shows you how this electricity was produced – for example from hydropower, solar energy, wind energy, biomass or nuclear energy. Please note: the electricity labelling shows the average across all end customers supplied. Your personal electricity mix may differ from this.

BKW offers electricity products with different origins and ecological quality. The labelling provides transparency about the overall electricity mix supplied; details of your chosen product can be found in the respective electricity offer.

The electricity labelling provides a transparent overview of the energy sources of the electricity supplied.

No. The electricity labelling does not reflect your personal electricity mix. It shows the total amount of electricity that BKW Energie AG has supplied to all end customers. Your personal mix may differ from the average.

The column ‘from Switzerland’ shows what proportion of the respective energy source is certified as originating from Switzerland. In the reference year 2025, a total of 86.58 per cent of the supplied quantity comes from Switzerland.

Subsidised electricity is shown separately and in 2025 comprises 52.3 per cent hydropower, 17.9 per cent solar energy, 4.2 per cent wind energy, 21.6 per cent biomass and 4.0 per cent renewable share from municipal waste. Geothermal energy accounts for 0 per cent.
