Self-consumption association
Share solar power locally in a ZEV
With a collective self-consumption arrangement, multiple parties jointly use locally produced solar power – for example, in an apartment building, business park or agricultural enterprise.

ZEV briefly explained
Use local energy within a shared connection
A ZEV is the direct way to share electricity from your own solar production locally.
In the grouping for self-consumption, several parties share solar power within a building or between adjoining or privately connected buildings. The ZEV acts as a single joint customer vis-à-vis BKW. The ZEV itself organises the internal billing and the contractual arrangements between the participants.

Costs and billing
The ZEV handles internal billing itself.
The ZEV acts as a joint customer vis-à-vis BKW. Within the ZEV, the agreements of the participants apply.
Private meters are used for billing within the ZEV. The existing BKW meters are removed. At the shared building connection point, a ZEV meter measures the electricity drawn from the public grid and the feed-in to the grid. BKW bills these values to the ZEV contact person.
