Reimbursement for the line section outside the plot

The refund concerns the reinforcement of the connection line between the plot boundary and the grid connection point.

When connecting a large energy generation system, it may be necessary to reinforce the connection cable. The costs for the cable section between the property boundary and the grid connection point can now be reclaimed using a reimbursement form after completion of the system. The reimbursement amounts to a maximum of CHF 50.00 per kW of installed capacity.

Process

From application to payout

You submit the application to BKW. The further review and reimbursement are carried out in coordination with Swissgrid.

BKW checks the information, supplements it if necessary and forwards the application to the national grid company Swissgrid. Swissgrid decides on the refund and pays the amount to BKW. BKW then passes the refund amount on to you.

You submit the application form for reimbursement with the required information and documents.

Audit by BKW

BKW checks the information and adds to it if necessary before the application is forwarded to Swissgrid.

Application to Swissgrid

BKW submits the application to Swissgrid. Swissgrid reviews the application and decides on the reimbursement.

Payment received

Swissgrid pays the refund amount to BKW. BKW then pays the amount out to you.

Cost estimate

How much can the refund be?

The amount depends on the effective costs and the installed capacity of the system.

Costs for reinforcing the connection line between the parcel boundary and the grid connection point may be reimbursed. The maximum amount is CHF 50.00 per kW of installed capacity. Example: For a capacity of 70 kW, the maximum amount is CHF 3,500.
