What is it about?
Targeted control only in exceptional situations
In an emergency, the distribution system operator may temporarily limit the output of individual installations.
BKW uses emergency control when this is necessary for safe grid operation – in particular to comply with voltage limits and to avoid local power interruptions. The measure is limited to exceptional cases and is used in a targeted, minimally invasive manner and only for as long as necessary.
Affected plants
Which installations need to be prepared?
Different technical requirements apply depending on the system type, capacity and key date.
The relevant date is the date on which the technical connection application (TAG) was submitted. The technical connection conditions applicable on the date the TAG was received apply.

Depending on the installation, the connection to the emergency control system is made via a telecontrol connection to the central control centre of BKW or via a relay installed in the electricity meter. The grid connection customer is responsible for implementation downstream of the switching device – i.e. “behind the meter”.
